The Lowcountry's Premiere Spine Specialists

Dr. Jeffery M. Reuben and Dr. K. Craig Boatright are experts in the field of spine surgery.

We are  board certified, fellowship trained, spine surgeons. However, we are much more than a surgical practice, we are experts in the structure and disorders of the spine which covers a wide variety of conditions and treatments. If you have persistent and chronic back pain that has failed over the counter treatments or if you have pain or weakness that is acute or getting worse, you may need a spine expert. Only a small percentage of our patients need surgery. We provide a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the root cause of your back or neck pain as well as neurological symptoms such as weakness or numbness. We help you understand what is causing your symptoms and the best, evidence based, medically verified treatments available. We do not require a referral to see our physicians. If you are ready to get back to the life you had before your symptoms, we are ready to help.

I feel like I was treated as a family member, a VIP; you give time, you care, you listen, you immediately return calls, which is rare these days.   Please relay my most sincere thanks and appreciation to your fine team, to the hospital, the Rehab facility and the wonderful folks with MSA who cared for me at home along with, Colleen, your coordinator, who is a real pro.  I also appreciated the daily visits by you and your associates while I was hospitalized.

Many friends, family and neighbors inquire: ”who was your surgeon?”.  When I advise, Dr. Reuben, everyone replies: ”you picked the best”.  How right they are!   Your associate, Dr. Boatright has earned the same reputation.  He returned a call to me within two minutes and immediately did what he promised he would do which is so kind, so rare and so professional.

Robert E. Williams

Dr. Reuben was very organized, clear in his explanation of surgery. It was a rip-roaring success thanks to Dr. Reuben and his superb team. 3 weeks later I have recovered normal gait and stride, and physical confidence. Dr. Reuben's prompt, aggressive, and effective surgical intervention has given me my life back - and quality time for more bucket list activities! Dr. Reuben and his team have my sincerest thanks and highest recommendation. The Real Deal!

Gregory R. Blackburn, CAPT USN (Ret)

I am back to playing golf and leading a normal life. I owe this all to Dr. Boatright and his staff at the Spinal Institute. We are blessed to have such an outstanding Doctor and gifted surgeon in our Community. I highly recommend Dr. K. Craig Boatright and am thankful he came into my life at a very difficult time.

Bob Pavlacka, Bluffton, SC

Dr. Boatright provided excellent support in communicating the procedure and recovery process to my wife and I. Excellent follow-through during the surgery, a nurse updated my wife frequently. We found that both Dr Boatright and the hospital staff provided outstanding service. Follow-up visits with the doctor and his whole staff was great. The staff is professional and caring throughout recovery.
